Docked Zep

zep_005, originally uploaded by iliveiSL.

wow, finally tied up the Zep, be a shame if it floated away, the engines are on idle to help maintain it’s docked position (imagine it toppling the big azz building over!) =D

oh and for a sense of scale, that’s Ener Hax standing on the roof top (complete with gas mask)

note on the engines: they now rotate in opposite directions, keeps from making the zep go in big circles

Partly done, this zeppelin is docked at the 2.6 building and is made with megaprims, it’s scale is enormous, and yes . . . the props are turning! =D

woof, another weekend toiling in virtual soil. but it’s all great fun and a great way meet lots of great people. the people that come tend to be those that are most creative. but that makes sense, buying land is an expensive decision and allows for the creation of your own style isl. :)

Eville Atomic Lounge, reborn! Free Martinis For All!!!!

EvilleAtomicLounge_001, originally uploaded by iliveiSL.

holy cow! after poofing 580 objects and a month of work, ener and subquark put it all together again
and it’s bigger and better. there is now a group for the Eville Atomic Loinge that allows for people to host their own parties. just ask for an invite and you are able to set media options and rez your party stuff. this way we hope to avoid scheduling conflicts. once the party is done, we drop you from the group and all you have to do is ask again
dang, forgot to add our Super Officer DreamWalker. she has graciously offered her talents to add people to this group in case none of us are online. thank you Dreamwalker! ^_^

yay, the Eville Atomic Lounge is being rebuilt.  it’s a bit bigger and bit heavier on the mid-century mod decor  :)
and i had the chance to visit with a good friend MM, whose last name certainly matches his creative ability.  what a great person, always felt bad in that past being busy with this and that and not stopping to chat longer.
apart from being a blender person, his abilities to build isl (and script) are truly inspiring  :)  he is working on a way cool robot, like the one from Lost in Space and it is fabulous!  these are the peeps that make sl such a great place, thank you MM for being patient with me and giving me the opportunity to chat with you.  it was an honour and privilege   ^_^
Klaatu barada nikto
onward to the Eville Atomic Lounge!  martinis anyone?  =D

Googie Office for Second Life virtual real estate

it’s Googie architecture in a nearly pure and true form.

the juxtaposition of the four roof awnings, with their organic, curved, and feminine energy, help to balance the strong masculine lines and materials typical of mod architecture.

Googie took the stark Bauhaus design common to ultra-mod and added curved lines and features to help bring harmony to the energy at play

the Welcome to Las Vegas sign is heralded as the ultimate icon of Googie and elements of masculine and feminine are well incorporated in it’s design, and perhaps in it’s timelessness (thus a trait of a true icon).

Steampunk Gazebo at Night

iliveiSL office is back!

Yay! ^_^ after being lost in inventory for a few months, it is recovered and rezzed.

this was an early collaboration between ener hax and subquark hax and was based off of the rond shape made for the infamous Gallery Art Monkey. that same circular foundation forms the base of many of our builds. why? well it took a few weeks to figure out how to make this shape with no overlaps! that’s right, no overlapping or intersecting pieces. turns out you have to rotate a cube and shear it like crazy. the only downside is that the top and bottom faces take textures in weird ways, so you can’t apply any regular textures such as tile or wood planks.

on a side note: relief at finding this. it has several thousand linden’s in furniture including the really nicely made Corn chairs and one of two $1,500 1905 Victoria Arduino Venus espresso machine.
